About Kirk Dougherty

I began shooting with a film SLR several years ago after visiting Alberta. At that time I was shooting mostly landscapes such as mountains, lakes and especially Algonquin Park. I took a couple of courses at Humber College and enjoyed learning about the process including developing film and working in the darkroom.

After switching to a digital SLR I shot a couple of weddings. Word of mouth and a small portfolio and a couple of more weddings and I was enrolled at Sheridan College in their CE Photography program. I set up a small studio at my house and thanks to some friends, started family and group shots.
Shortly thereafter, I started doing head shots and group shots for a local theatre company and a Toronto based comedy club.

After Wedding Photography 1 at Sheridan, I started shooting engagement photos also.  (All over Ontario)
I then enrolled back at Humber and took their Wedding Photography course which led me to a website and a Facebook page.
